I arrived late this morning due to a doctor's appointment Your approach is probably o.k., and I appreciate the need to expedite this process. My only concern is how often the tax collector's site is updated. It is my understanding that there are two separate real estate records divisions in the tax office. The tax assessor's office receives real estate change of ownership information a month or more after the transfer. That's a fairly reliable source, but I'm not sure whether they routinely share ownership information with the public. I believe that they have indicated in the past that are not willing to provide a certified list. The treasurer's (tax collector's) office may have a different update period. Does the website provide a disclaimer regarding accuracy of their information or frequency of updates? If the treasurer's office updates their list as transfers are made (as opposed to once a year) and if you are comfortable with the accuracy of your list, I would say move forward with this so that we can address this matter in May. Please document the steps that you have taken in order in ensure that the correct parties are notified. Thanks, Debra -----Original Message ----- From: Minyard, Brian Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 9:28 AM To: Weldon, Debra Subject: RE: 1301 Cumberland Street Little Rock AR - Notice of Public Hearing for Amended COA Importance: High I went on line to the tax collectors site an verified that these are the current owners for the properties in question. Is that sufficient for the "we pay for'the list" response? ( I did find another property that Murray had to notify that Reddig will not have to notify that has changed hands.) Please respond ASAP, so that we can push to keep them on the may 2006 agenda with their drawings coming in tomorrow.
