PROJECT BACKGROUND, DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS: The subject property

The purpose and intent of this project is to relocate back door, remove window and
reinstall original/salvaged brick to these two affected areas. The materials used will

demolished. Four original wood and glass doors preserved for reuse on new carriage

At the -rear of the -existing structure and having access from the existing alleyway, will
be a
new courtyard7fence: To be constructed of concrete, split face concrete block, wrought
iron, wood, preserved door and stone pavers. Courtyard is created via the construction
of the new fencing.
A new two-story carriage house/garage will be constructed and is to be constricted of
concrete, split face concrete block, wood, preserved doors, aluminum garage door, and
wrought iron.. The first level is to accommodate a two -car garage and small workshop.
The second level is to be constructed. of wood, asphalt:shingles, aluminum siding,
vinyl windows and wrought iron. This level will accommodate a guesthouse with
balcony overlooking new courtyard and original structure.
There are several criteria in the district's design guidelines for consideration.

NEIGHBORHOOD IMPACT AND REACTION: At the time of distribution, there
were no objections to this -project request either in writing or by phone.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff will offer a recommendation at the public
hearing.
