Dear Robert:
With regard to Wali Caradine's proposal for exterior
modifications to the Altenberg House at 1001 Cumberland Street,
I would like to recommend that the Historic District Commission
issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the work. The fence
Mr. Caradine proposes for the rear yard is an appropriate
addition, and the proposed solarium will be set far enough back
from the street to be inobtrusive.
