Ms. Molly Satterfield;
In response to your request for more details on the proposed restoration
work at 923 Cumberland, we offer the following.
All vinyl siding installed would be of the profile to match as closely
as possible the existing siding. All trim boards, fascia, frieze, window
and door facings would be covered with aluminum, formed on site, to conform
to the existing wood as near as possible.
The property owner has expressed the desire to restore the complete build-
ing in this manner. We realize the rules'of the Commission would not permit
this but we strongly urge your consideration to allow three sides to be com-
pleted. We offer the restoration work at 411 E. 6th St. as a model of our
material and workmanship.
The property owner has also requested restoration work on the small build-
ing at the rear of the property, referred to as the Carriage House. The
original siding on the building has been covered with plywood and battens,
detracting from its appearance. Covering this building in the manner described
above would match the main house and restore it to its original style.
Included with this letter are some brochures showing the restoration
projects that are being done with vinyl and aluminum products now available.
Yours y,
onard P. Stallmann, Zer
