HomeMy WebLinkAbout16969 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,969 2 3 AN RESOLUTION TO SET MARCH 3,2026,AS THE DATE OF HEARING 4 ON THE REQUEST TO ABANDON A PORTION OF WEST 41ST STREET, 5 A PORTION OF LONGCOY STREET AND ALL OR A PORTION OF TWO 6 (2) ALLEY OF RIGHTS-OF-WAY LOCATED NEAR THE 7 SOUTHEAST CORNER OF JOHN BARROW ROAD AND WEST 40TH 8 STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS (G-23-498); AND 9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of Directors 12 abandon the following rights-of-way as part of the ACTS Senior Village — PCD (Z-7154-A) proposed 13 development: 14 1. Approximately 288 linear feet of a 10-foot-wide alley extending from W. 40th Street to W. 41St 15 Street(Block 157,John Barrow Addition). 16 2. Approximately 288 linear feet of ROW(Longcoy Street)extending from W. 41 St Street to W. 40th 17 Street, 18 3. Approximately 135 linear feet of W. 41' Street extending from John Barrow Road(east),between 19 Lot 12,Block 157 and Lot 7,Block 158,John Barrow Addition. 20 4. Approximately 50 feet of a ten-foot-wide alley between Lots 6 and 7, Block 132, John Barrow 21 Addition. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above-mentioned rights-of-way shall be held 25 at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in City Hall, 2'Floor Board Room, 500 26 West Markham Street,Little Rock,Arkansas at six o'clock on March 3, 2026. 27 Section 2. The City Cleark is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed 28 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski 29 County, Arkansas,and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock,Arkansas. 30 Section 3.Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 31 of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 32 shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 33 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance.
