Home Instead Senior Care is requesting approval for certificate of appropriateness for 909 Cumberland
Street in the MacArthur Park Historic District. Home Instead Senior Care is a network
of franchises specializing in -home care for the elderly, in support of aging in place. Headquartered in
Omaha, Nebraska, it is the largest senior care franchise in the world, with 1000+ independently owned
and operated offices worldwide. Our current office has providing care for Pulaski, Lonoke, and White
counties for over 15 years.
We will be moving our professional office to this location. We are requesting a change of the location of
the previous wood fence approval and approval of placement of a sign that will be handcrafted from
wood and painted. The fence will be built using wood as previous approval indicated and will allow us to
have parking in the rear of the house. The parking area will use the alleyway for entrance and will be
approximately 40' X 45' utilizing low impact development gravel as its surface. The sign will be
handcrafted from wood using a sandblasting technique that will compliment the architectural features of
the home and placed in the existing flowerbed in the front of the home. We look forward to becoming a
part of the downtown community and the McArthur Park Historic District.
