Home My WebLink About16956 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,956 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH UNMANNED VEHICLE TECHNOLOGIES, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNTNOT TO EXCEED OF FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND, 6 ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THREE AND 07/100 DOLLARS($52,153.07),PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE (5) 8 ADDITIONAL ANZU ROBOTICS RAPTOR T DRONES AND RELATED 9 EQUIPMENT INCLUDING BATTERIES, TO ADD MORE DRONES TO 10 LRPD'S SMALL UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS UNIT FLEET; AND 11 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,on April 1,2025,the City Board of Directors approved the initial purchase of six(6)Anzu 14 Robotics Raptor T drones from Unmanned Vehicle Technologies, Inc. ("UVT") for the pilot Secure 15 Operations with Aerial Response (SOAR) Program using grant funds in Little Rock,Ark Resolution No. 16 16,643; and, 17 WHEREAS, there is a need for the Little Rock Police Department ("LRPD") to purchase five (5) 18 additional portable, aerial drones for LRPD's Small Unmanned Aerial Systems Unit Fleet to provide 19 expanded coverage and overwatch support to officers responding to incidents,allowing for rapid evaluation 20 and incident de-escalation;and 21 WHEREAS, vendor selection of UVT to supply the LRPD with five(5)additional Raptor T drones, 22 the related equipment, including batteries, software, support, and product protection plans, was made 23 utilizing Sourcewell Contract No. 011223-UNM. 24 WHEREAS,the cost to acquire five(5)additional Raptor T drones,the related equipment, including 25 batteries,software, support,and product protection plans from UVT is Fifty-Two Thousand,One Hundred 26 Fifty-Three and 07/100 Dollars ($52.153.07), including applicable taxes and fees as seen in Exhibit A 27 attached hereto. 28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 29 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 30 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with UVT for the purchase of five 31 (5) additional Raptor T drones, the related equipment, including batteries, software, support, and product 32 protection plans, at a total cost of Fifty-Two Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Three and 07/100 Dollars 33 ($52.153.07), including applicable taxes and fees. [Page 1 of 41 1 Section 2. Funding for this purchase are available in the LRPD Hand Tool Account No. 105220-6050. 2 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 3 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 4 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 5 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 6 resolution. 7 Section 4.Repealer.
