3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 16,289 (APRIL 16, 2024), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
5 ENTER INTO A ONE (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE
6 GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
7 HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($220,000.00),
8 FOR MAINTENANCE OF CONCRETE MEDIANS AND RIGHT-OF-
9 WAY MOWING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way mowing is necessary within the
13 City of Little Rock,Arkansas, (City)to maintain public right of ways along City streets; and,
14 WHEREAS, the City held Public Bid No. 2406 on March 12, 2024, to obtain competitive bids
15 from qualified vendors to provide maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way mowing; and,
16 WHEREAS, The Griffin Group, LLC submitted the lowest bid out of one bid received, meeting
17 specifications for the 2024 Concrete Median Maintenance program;and,
18 WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025, the City Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 16,597
19 authorizing the City Manager to sign a First Amendment to Contract to extend the original contract an
20 additional one (1)-year term in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty Thousand and 00/100
21 Dollars($220,000.00);and,
22 WHEREAS, the City wishes to exercise its option to extend the contract for the second of two
23 (2)additional one(1)-year terms with The Griffin Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred
24 Twenty Thousand and 00/100 ($220,000.00), which includes a 20% contingency, for maintenance of
25 concrete medians and right-of-way mowing.
26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
27 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
28 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to extend the contract with The
29 Griffin Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars
30 ($220,000.00), which includes a 20%contingency, for maintenance of concrete medians and right-of-way
31 mowing.
32 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available in Public Works Right-of-Way Mowing,
33 Account No. 205409-S40B661.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
2 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
5 resolution.
6 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
7 with the provisions Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 16,289 (April 16, 2024), are hereby repealed to the
8 extent of such inconsistency.
9 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
