Anne Guthrie, Historic Preservation Administrator DATE: 14 August 2001 SUBJECT: Permit for 1419 Commerce Street This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District Commission (LRHDC) allowing the property owner of 1419 Commerce permission to obtain a building permit. I understand that the permit is for interior rehabilitaiton (electrical, drywall, etc.). Since the structure is located within the MacArthur Park Historic District, exterior work comes under the LRHDC's jurisdiction. There is no exterior work to be done on this structure for this permit. As such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a building permit should be approved. If exterior changes or improvements need to be made that require a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA), the property owner will notify staff and appropriate actions taken for a public hearing. Refer to the application instructions or the Design Review Guidelines: MacArthur Park Historic District for necessity of obtaining a COA. t=
