Commerce Mr. Moses, I have completed the review of this project and the relevant notes are as follows: 1. Written approval from the State Health Department, Plumbing Division, must be obtained for all commercial buildings prior to issuance of the building permit. Contact Ric Mayhan, Plumbing Plans Examiner at 661-2642 with any questions. 2. Approval from Central Arkansas Water is required. Contact Daniel Tull (501) 377-1245 for information and required submittals. 3. Approval from Little Rock Wastewater Utility is required. Contact James Boyd, P.E. (501) 688-1414 for information and required submittals. Additional approval from the Environmental Assessment Department at LRWU is required for the grease trap installation. Contact Mikel Murders (501) 688-1532 for information and required submittals. 4. Approval from Little Rock Public Works is required. Contact Vince Floriani, P.E. (501) 371-4817 information and required submittals. 5. This project has been reviewed as a type 5B (existing) construction, group R-1, and sprinkled with an NFPA 13 system. 6. This property was subject to review by the Historic District Commission (HDC). Their approval was for certain doors, windows and other finishes. Please provide the following: • Provide detail of 4 windows to be replaced in Room 101 Lobby with single hung true divided lights 12/1 wood window replacement sashes. Existing jambs, headers and sills to be reused if possible and if not, replacements will be of same size, dimension and profile. • Heat Pumps and condensing units have increased from three to four units. Concentrate on south side of building. It shall not have sidelights. It must have a transom over the door to match "transoms" to each side over windows. Minimize the distance that the bay extends from the building and dimension on plan. Provide elevation of new bay with door and transom. ■ Submit light fixtures "R" to Staff to get approval. * Adhere to all other improvements on exterior of building as described in COA as attached. ■ All items in this section must be approved by HDC Staff (Brian Minyard) and approved by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Office Conservation Easements Coordinator. 7. Discuss how the site approach(es) will be accessible (e.g. ramps, egress from accessible unit, etc.). 8. The ventilation hood for the cook top/range must be a listed type I hood per 2006 IFC 609.2 and 2010 IMC 507.2.3. 9. Ensure that doors 202 and 205 are provided with automatic closers. 10. Verify that the open side of the main central stair is protected with intermediate rails (balusters) where the treads are greater than 30" a.f.f. 11. An 18" vertical grab bar is required in the accessible restroom (ref. ANSI Al 17.1). 12. The receptacle for the water fountain must be GFCI protected. 13. Ensure that a permanent address is posted as required by the AHJ Fire Marshal. This is a City of Little Rock affiliated project therefore there is no permit fee.
