HomeMy WebLinkAbout16940 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,940 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 3 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JOHN DEERE COMPANY FOR THE 4 PURCHASE OF TWO (2) COMMERCIAL MOWERS FOR THE PARKS 5 AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department requires reliable commercial mowing 8 equipment to maintain the City of Little Rock,Arkansas' (the"City")parks and facilities; and, 9 WHEREAS, the existing mowers have accumulated high mileage and are experiencing 10 increased maintenance costs,making replacement necessary; and, 11 WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase two (2) 2025 John Deere Z997R Diesel 72" 12 Commercial Mowers for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at a total cost of this 13 purchase is $50,484.28, at a unit cost of$25,242.14 per mower; and, 14 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made available through the Sourcewell Grounds 15 Maintenance Contract No. 112624-DAC, in compliance with applicable procurement 16 requirements. 17 NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 19 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Deere & 20 Company for the purchase of two (2) 2025 John Deere Z997R Diesel 72" Commercial Mowers 21 for the Parks and Recreation Department at a total cost not to exceed $50,484.28, 22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase available and allocated in Parks and Recreation Account 23 No. 108459-72200-S45A711 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 25 phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 26 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall 27 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 28 was not originally a part of the ordinance. 29 Section 4. Repealed. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are 30 inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such 31 inconsistency.
