HomeMy WebLinkAbout16936 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,936 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BDE INVESTMENTS,LLC,DB/A SERVPRO 5 OF LITTLE ROCK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED 6 NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS (190,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE 7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR HVAC CLEANING SERVICES, INCLUDING 8 MOLD REMEDIATION AND HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING 9 SYSTEM CLEANING, FOR THE CENTRAL FIRE STATION; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas has identified the need for comprehensive HVAC 13 cleaning services, including mold remediation and heating and air conditioning system cleaning, at the 14 Central Fire Station to ensure a safe and healthy working environment; and 15 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) intends to utilize The Interlocal Purchasing 16 System(TIPS)Contract No. 230505 to procure these HVAC cleaning services;and 17 WHEREAS, BDE Investments, LLC, d/b/a SERVPRO of Little Rock ("SERVPRO") is an 18 approved vendor under TIPS Contract No. 230505 and is qualified to perform the required services; and 19 WHEREAS,funding for this project is available through the Fire Capital Improvement special project 20 (108519-S 10A237FC);and 21 WHEREAS, the total cost of the contract shall not exceed One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars 22 ($190,000.00),plus applicable taxes. 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a one year contract with 26 SERVPRO to perform HVAC cleaning services, including mold remediation and heating and air 27 conditioning system cleaning, for the Central Fire Station, utilizing TIPS Contract No. 230505. 28 Section 2. The total amount of the contract shall not exceed One Hundred Ninety Thousand 29 Dollars ($190,000.00), plus applicable taxes. 30 Section 3. Funding for this contract is authorized from the Fire Capital Improvement special 31 project(108519-S10A237FC). 32 Section 4.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 33 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication [Page 1 of 2] 1 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 2 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 3 Section 5. Repealer.
