I did meet Aaron Ruby over there to get his opinion on the siding and front porch. These are our thoughts, I've shared them with Stefan Vickery, also. Siding --replace or retain the vertical siding. That kind of siding is not typical for 1890s Queen Anne houses, but we couldn't determine that it is replacement siding and it's pretty old. We did find out that the house was moved sometime before 1913, so it could be from then. On the porch, we'd recommend not adding a spindle frieze and using smaller columns. In general, we're against vinyl replacement windows, repairing is better in the long run, and if they have to be replaced, wood is better.
