3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND
4 THE CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,INC. IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS,
6 ($32,000.00), FOR ADDITIONAL STREET RECONSTRUCTION FOR
7 ARTHUR LANE WIDENING PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHEREAS,on May 20,2025,the City Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 16,687 to authorize
10 the City Manager to enter into a contract with Redstone Construction Group, Inc. for the Arthur Lane
11 Widening Project in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-
12 Eight and 80/100 Dollars($176,638.80); and,
13 WHEREAS, a contract for the Arthur Lane Widening Project was executed June 12, 2025, between
14 the Acting City Manager for the City of Little Rock and Redstone Construction Group, Inc.; and,
15 WHEREAS, after construction commenced, it has been determined that poor soil conditions extend
16 further under the road than anticipated which requires the full-depth reconstruction of a larger portion of
17 the roadway.
18 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to
21 the contract with Redstone Construction Group, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Two Thousand
22 Dollars ($32,000.00) for a revised total contract not to exceed amount of Two Hundred Eight Thousand,
23 Six Hundred Thirty-Eight and 80/100 Dollars($208,638.80)for construction of the Arthur Lane Widening
24 project.
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by
26 Resolution 15,968 (May 2,2023)with funds from Account Activity B6D052S.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
