3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SWIFT RECREATION,LLC IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-
6 ONE DOLLARS ($86,871.00), FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TRAIL
7 BRIDGE AT ALLSOPP PARK IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
8 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the pedestrian trail bridge at Allsopp Park has exceeded its useful life expectancy and is
11 in need of replacement;and,
12 WHEREAS, the trail bridge is a vital park feature that supports safe, accessible, and continuous
13 pedestrian movement throughout Allsopp Park; and,
14 WHEREAS, replacing the bridge will restore and enhance the park's trail system, ensuring that
15 residents and visitors may continue to enjoy the park without disruption or safety concerns;and,
16 WHEREAS,the proposed replacement bridge will be designed and constructed to meet modern safety
17 standards while blending seamlessly with the park's natural environment; and,
18 WHEREAS, to facilitate efficient procurement and ensure cost-effective implementation, pricing for
19 this project has been obtained through TIPS Cooperative Purchasing Agreements #24070201 and
20 #24070202; and,
21 WHEREAS, Swift Recreation LLC has submitted a proposal for the replacement of the trail bridge at
22 Allsopp Park in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-One Dollars
23 ($86,871.00).
24 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Swift Recreation
27 LLC for the replacement of the trail bridge at Allsopp Park in an amount not to exceed Eighty-Six Thousand
28 Eight Hundred Seventy-One Dollars ($86,871.00), utilizing TIPS Cooperative Purchasing Agreements
29 #24070201 and#24070202.
30 Section 2.That funding for this project shall be paid from Account No. 108459-S45A711.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
