Since the structure is located within the MacArthur Park Historic District, exterior work comes under the LRHDC's jurisdiction. Routine maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic district with administrative approval, and re -roofing is classified as routine maintenance. The repairs should be performed in conformance to the structure: ♦ the proposed work will not alter the existing footprint, outline, profile, composition or change the configuration ♦ there will be no change to the roof slope and no introduction of new architectural detailing or materials As such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a permit should be approved.
