Dear Mike:
It has been brought to my attention that the new production building at 1304
Cumberland is not being built according to the elevations we provided to you. I am
calling this to your attention because a great deal of effort was made by all parties to get
this project approved by the various historic boards, commissions, and agencies.
Although we have not been hired to provide construction administration services, a
casual street side observation has indicated that the exterior siding, trim, and window
placements have been altered from the approved design.
I am writing you for two important reasons. One is that our firm does not warn to be
held responsible for construction that does not reflect our design, and second, is that
should the agencies involved not accept the changes, you could incur substantial costs
to make changes at a later date.
I hope that you accept these comments in the rTIanner intended. to assist you in
remaining in compliance with the approval agencies and preventing future cost
increases.
nc'arely,
Ja es R. Williams, AIA
