The issues raised at the meeting to be addressed include: 1. A landscaping plan needs to be submitted for approval 2. Colors either need to match or be compatible to and sympathetic with the Bien House 3. The flue for the furnace will be lowered to the minimum required by code and painted to match the roofing 4. It is understood that the new structure will be placed to the north as closely as practical to the Bien House while not interfering with existing trees An additional item which I need to address with your office is our proposal to place a new set of steps down at the end of the Queen Anne porch on the south side of the building. It is my understanding that the building has a facade easement and that approval from your office is necessary prior to this work being undertaken. Please find attached sketches which show the proposed new steps and how they relate to the existing building fabric. We believe that this work will result in a direct access between the existing and proposed structures which has the least visual impact on the property, will reinforce the idea of the proposed structure as an ancillary structure to the Bien House and will leave existing landscaping largely intact. It should be noted as well that this work may be easily reversed and that the owner will retain and preserve the removed railing parts for future use or study. Please let me know if there~ are further items I have inadvertently omitted, and again, thanks for your help on this project. I look forward to seeing you again at the December 4th meeting. cc: Mike McKinnis, JM Associates Lynne Zollner. Capital Zoning District Comm.
