Dear Mrs. Tate:
The Cashion Company has enjoyed almost seven years in our
building at 501 Sherman, and during that time we have had the
good fortune to prosper and grow. Today, we find ourselves
once again outgrowing our offices and needing more space. To
that end, we have retained an architect, John Allison of
Allison Moses Redden, to help us analyze our options here on
East Capitol. With his help, we have come to the conclusion
that the only way to efficiently provide for our present and
future needs is to construct an addition of approximately
4,000 square feet. The addition would be located to the south
of our present building.
The enclosed form is part of the process to gain approval of
our plan from the MacArthur Park. Historic District Commission,
in which we are now located. (Our present building was actually
constructed prior to the formation of the District, but the
addition must have the District's approval.)
We feel that this plan of constructing an addition, which will
be of the same materials and be very compatible with our
existing building, will be a great improvement to our neighborhood.
Finally, if you have any questions, or simply would like to see
our plans, please do not hesitate to call. We value your friend-
ship and want you to know that we will sincerely attempt to make
our neighborhood an even better place for us all.
Sincely,
y.
