Dear Mr. Cashion:
Information obtained by our office indicates that you are the
owner or agent of the above referenced property.
This is to advise you that an inspection was made on the above
referenced structure and/or dwelling. It was determined by this
inspection that this dwelling is unfit for human habitation and
is hereby conditionally condemned under provisions of Ordinance
#13,304 of the City of Little Rock.
This dwelling, is now vacant and is not to be occupied until the
conditions for condemnation are corrected and approval is given
by the Minimum Housing Office of the Department of Public Works.
This ordinance provides you thirty (30) days to either initiate
repairs, or demolish and remove the referenced dwelling. Under
provisions of this ordinance, you are required to secure the
dwelling and/or structure, in an approved manner, within ten (10)
days. Failure to secure all accessible windows, doors and/or
openings within the allotted time will result in the City taking
appropriate action to have this accomplished and the owner will
be responsible for all incurred cost.
The owner is responsible for maintaining the security of this
dwelling and/or structure until all code requirements have been
met, by either full rehabilitation or the demolition of this
dwelling and/or structure.
Please be advised that the issuing of a permit to either repair
or demolish this dwelling and/or structure or if, upon request,
an extension of time should be granted does not relieve the owner
of the securing responsibility.
Should you feel the application of this code causes an undue
hardship, or that the regulation is misconstrued or wrongly
interpreted, you have thirty (30) days in which to appeal this
inspection to the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals.
All necessary permits must be obtained from the Permits Section
of the Department of Public Works, located at 723 West Markham.
For additional information, please call 371-4851 or 371-4729
between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Attached is a list of violations on the above referenced
structure.
Sincerely,
Jack Patton
