HomeMy WebLinkAbout16914 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,914 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CITY ISSUANCE OF TWO (2) 4 OPERATOR PERMITS AND SIXTY (60) TAXICAB PERMITS TO D/B/A 5 ZTRIP AND YELLOW CAB RESPECTIVELY,FOR THE 2026 CALENDAR 6 YEAR RUNNING FROM JANUARY 1, 2026, TO DECEMBER 31, 2026; 7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, as set forth in Little Rock, Ark., Rev Code §§ 34-48 (1988), WHC Little Rock, LLC, 10 doing business as zTrip and Yellow Cab respectively,has properly applied for approval for the issuance of 11 two(2)Operator Permits at a cost of Five Hundred Dollars($500.00)apiece and sixty(60)Taxicab Permits 12 at a cost of Sixty Dollars($60.00)each by the City; and, 13 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Director, as Administrator of the above-referenced chapter, has 14 concluded that WHC Little Rock,LLC has met all necessary and appropriate requirements;and, 15 WHEREAS,within fifteen(15)days after receipt of the application Fleet Services Director sent notice 16 to applicant,each holder of a current operator permit, and all other interested persons in writing of the date 17 of the public hearing on the application, in accordance with A.C.A. §§ 14-57-307 and 14-57-308.; and, 18 WHEREAS,the public hearing shall be held December 16,2025; and, 19 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Director has recommended the issuance of these sixty-two(62) 20 permits be granted to WHC Little Rock, LLC for the 2026 term running from January 1, 2026 through 21 December 31, 2026, which will generate Four Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($4,600.00) in Permit Fees 22 for the City. 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 25 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve the issuance of two(2)Operator Permits 26 and sixty(60)Taxicab Permits to WHC Little Rock, LLC doing business as zTrip and Yellow Cab for the 27 2026 term running from January 1,2026 through December 31,2026. 28 Section 2. The Board expressly notes that prior to the public hearing, a written notice was sent to 29 applicant,each holder of a current operator permit,and all other interested persons in writing of the date of 30 the hearing. 31 Section 3. Severability.
