HomeMy WebLinkAbout16892 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,892 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH D&G VARMINT CONTROL IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED 6 TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($87,625.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES 7 AND FEES, FOR THE REMOVAL OF BATS AND SQUIRRELS FROM 8 FIRE STATION 10; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department (LRFD) has identified the need for the professional 11 removal of bats and squirrels from Fire Station 10;and, 12 WHEREAS, LRFD issued Bid Project No. 204548 seeking qualified vendors to perform the required 13 removal services; and, 14 WHEREAS, D&G Varmint Control submitted the sole bid for this project and has been determined to 15 be qualified to perform the necessary work; and, 16 WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Little Rock to authorize the City Manager to enter 17 into a contract with D&G Varmint Control to perform these services. 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 D&G Varmint Control for the removal of bats and squirrels at Fire Station 10. 22 Section 2. The total amount of the contract shall not exceed Eighty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred 23 Twenty-Five Dollars($87,625.00),plus applicable taxes. 24 Section 3. Funding for this contract is available through the Fire Capital Improvement special project 25 account(108519-S 10A237FC). 26 Section 4.Severability. In the event any title, paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this 27 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall 28 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 29 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 30 Section 5.Repealer.
