HomeMy WebLinkAbout16889 RESOLUTION NO. 16,889 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND, ELEVEN AND 11/100 6 DOLLARS($66,011.11),FOR THE PURCHASE OF MOBILE RADIOS FOR 7 THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department("LRFD")is scheduled to receive seven(7)new pumper 11 trucks and one(1)new aerial truck in the first quarter of 2026; and, 12 WHEREAS, in preparation for the arrival of this new apparatus, LRFD requires the purchase of seven 13 (7)APX6500 Enhanced 7/800 MHz Mobile Radios designated for the pumper trucks and one(1)APX6500 14 Enhanced 7/800 MHz Mobile Radio designated for the aerial truck; and, 15 WHEREAS, LRFD obtained pricing for the equipment needed through NASPO Contract No. 16 4600050253;and, 17 WHEREAS, funding for this purchase is available through the Act 833 special project (210519- 18 S00B250); and, 19 WHEREAS, the total cost of the purchase shall not exceed Sixty-Six Thousand Eleven Dollars and 20 One Cent($66,011.01),plus applicable taxes. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 24 Motorola Solutions for the purchase of seven(7)APX6500 Enhanced 7/800 MHz Mobile Radios for LRFD 25 pumper trucks and one(1)APX6500 Enhanced 7/800 MHz Mobile Radio for the LRFD aerial truck,utilizing 26 NASPO Contract No.4600050253, in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Six Thousand Eleven Dollars and One 27 Cent($66,011.01),plus applicable taxes. 28 Section 2.Funding for this purchase shall be charged to the Act 833 special project(210519-S00B250). 29 Section 3.
