3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND, NINE
6 HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN DOLLARS ($198,937.00), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) BUCKET TRUCK WITH CHIPPER BED FOR
8 THE PUBLIC WORKS STREET DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Street Department has identified the need to replace an existing Bucket
12 Truck, Unit#94F180, which has incurred high maintenance costs and presents potential safety concerns;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS,Altec Industries, Inc.,offers a Bucket Truck with Chipper Bed that meets the operational
15 and safety requirements of the Public Works Street Department, which is available for purchase utilizing
16 the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract No. 110421-ALT, which satisfies the City's competitive
17 selection requirements; and,
18 WHEREAS, the total cost of this purchase is One Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred
19 Thirty-Seven Dollars($198,937.00).
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Altec Industries, Inc.,
23 for the purchase of one(1)Bucket Truck with Chipper Bed for the Public Works Street Department, in the
24 total amount of One Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand,Nine Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars($198,937.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase shall be charged to the Public Works Operations Equipment
26 Purchases Account No. 205409-72300-S40B677.
27 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this
28 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
29 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion
30 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
31 Section 4.Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,which are inconsistent with

1 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
