HomeMy WebLinkAbout16882 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,882 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ASPHALT ZIPPER, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FORTY-ONE THOUSAND, EIGHT 6 HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS AND SIXTY-FIVE CENTS 7 ($241,814.65),FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE(1)NEW ASPHALT ZIPPER 8 WITH WHEEL ASSIST AND TRAILER/WATER SYSTEM FOR THE 9 PUBLIC WORKS STREET DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Department has identified the need to replace Unit #84K012, 13 which has accrued excessive maintenance costs and experienced significant downtime; and, 14 WHEREAS, Asphalt Zipper, Inc., offers a new Asphalt Zipper with Wheel Assist and Trailer/Water 15 System that meets the operational needs of the Public Works Street Department, is available through the 16 Houston-Galveston Area Council(HGAC)Cooperative Purchasing Contract No.PW 10-25,which satisfies 17 the City's competitive selection requirements;and, 18 WHEREAS, the total cost of this purchase is Two Hundred Forty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred 19 Fourteen Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents($241,814.65). 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Asphalt Zipper, Inc.,for 23 the purchase of one (1) new Asphalt Zipper with Wheel Assist and Trailer/Water System for the Public 24 Works Street Department, in the total amount of Two Hundred Forty-One Thousand, Eight Hundred 25 Fourteen Dollars and Sixty-Five Cents($241,814.65). 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2025 Public Works Special Project Fund 27 Account No. 205409-72200-540B677. 28 Section 3.Severability. In the event any title,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this 29 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall 30 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion 31 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 32 Section 5.Repealer.
