3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT COMPANY, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND,
6 SIX HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS ($262,610.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 ONE (1) KOBELCO EXCAVATOR MODEL SK210LCLR WITH LONG
8 BOOM FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS STREET DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Department has identified the need to replace an existing
12 Excavator, Unit #98N 109, which has accrued excessive maintenance costs and experienced significant
13 downtime; and,
14 WHEREAS, Scott Equipment Company offers a Kobelco Excavator Model SK210LCLR with a long
15 boom that meets the operational needs of the Public Works Street Department, that is made available
16 through the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Contract No. 011723-KBL, which satisfies the City's
17 competitive selection requirements; and,
18 WHEREAS, the total cost of this purchase is Two Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Ten
19 Dollars($262,610.00).
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Scott Equipment
23 Company for the purchase of Kobelco Excavator Model SK210LCLR with a long boom for the Public
24 Works Street Department, in the total amount of Two Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Ten
25 Dollars($262,610.00).
26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Special Project Fund Account
27 No. 25409-72200-S40B677.
28 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this
29 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
30 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion
31 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
32 Section 4.Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,which are inconsistent with

1 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
