3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
4 OF READY MIX CONCRETE FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
5 OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal bid to solicit proposals for an annual contract for ready
8 mix concrete for the Street Department, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received was
9 from Levy Concrete.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
11 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a agreement with Levy Concrete in
13 an approximate amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) for the annual contract for
14 ready mix concrete for the Street Department.
15 Section 2: This contract shall be for one year from the date of the award, with the provision
16 that it may be extended yearly for two (2) additional years upon agreement of both parties.
17 Section 3. Funds for this agreement are available in accounts 205409 - 61020- SOOT418
18 (Concrete Ramp Program), and 204003 -61020 (Streets, Alleys, and Bridges).
19 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to
20 be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
21 of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
22 invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
23 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict
24 with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
