Little Rock, AR 72205 September 5, 2025 City of Little Rock Department of Planning and Development 723 West Markham Little Rock, AR 72201 Re: Application for Zoning Variance Dear City of Little Rock, Department of Planning and Development: We, Sherri and Charles Doerpinghaus, are seeking a Zoning Variance for 2 Charleston PI., Little Rock, AR 72205. This is our principal residence, and we have lived here for approximately 6 years. Our variance request seeks to allow the construction of an additional carport bay on the north end of the existing garage beyond the existing building line on the north end of the residence. The addition will be 14' x 23.3' and will be constructed as a continuation of the existing structure. The roof, floor and siding will be constructed in the same design as the existing residence. No additional driveway will be added. No additional garage door will be added. The addition is to be used as storage for items presently stored in the garage. This additional storage will allow our vehicle to be parked in the garage and not on the present driveway on the front of the residence. No house is on the north side of our residence, and the west side of the residence is an alleyway and utility easement. u for your consideration of our application.
