Would drawings such as the attached file be sufficient to make the initial application? The vendor is working on
some images that would show a slightly larger sign to accommodate larger lettering, but I just needed to know how
much detail you will need. Thanks.

Ok. I am not yet ready to get on the agenda. I will have to get my commission to approve a design. The
vendor for the MacArthur Park sign which was approved by the HDC provided some drawings for smaller
signs for the other park entities (museum, memorial, hostel) which followed the same design. Although I
am not a great fan of the design, the cost was very attractive. I am concerned that when they reverse the
direction of the crescent drive that the existing museum sign will not make the relocation well and will need
to be replaced sooner rather than later. I have my next Commission meeting on November 4.

of course, on December 13th. You could still get on November 8th hearing, if you could get
your sign designed by the 18th of October. give me some kind of sketch with some basic
information with an application filled out TODAY( fax 399-3435 or email) and then give me
the final design by October 18th.

Since the Historic District Commission has already approved the signage for
MacArthur Park, would the museum also have to go before the Commission if it
followed the same design for a new museum sign?
