HomeMy WebLinkAbout16873 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,873 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HOUSTON CASUALTY COMPANY IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS 6 ($80,000.00), TO PROVIDE 2025-2026 CYBER LIABILITY INSURANCE 7 COVERAGE TO THE CITY FORA ONE(1)-YEAR TERM OF DECEMBER 8 10,2025,TO DECEMBER 10,2026;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to maintain Cyber Liability Insurance to provide coverage in 11 case of a data breach or cyber incident; and, 12 WHEREAS, the City's current Insurance Broker, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services 13 ("Gallagher"), has taken the City's Cyber Liability Insurance Program needs to market to solicit quotes 14 and was able to secure a Five Million Dollar($5,000,000.00) Cyber Liability proposal of insurance from 15 Houston Casualty Company in the amount of Eighty Thousand Dollars($80,000.00);and, 16 WHEREAS, Gallagher and the City's Human Resources Department recommend acceptance of the 17 binding quote from Houston Casualty Company in an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars 18 ($80,000.00), to provide the City with Cyber Liability Insurance coverage for the term of December 10, 19 2025 to December 10,2026. 20 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 22 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Houston Casualty Company in 23 an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), to provide the City with Cyber Liability 24 Insurance coverage for the term of December 10, 2025 to December 10,2026. 25 Section 2.Funds for this expenditure are available as a Budget Line Item for Cyber Liability Insurance, 26 Account No. 100000-14010. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4.Repealer.
