HomeMy WebLinkAbout16868 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,868 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PROMAS, LLC,IN AN AMOUNT OF THREE 5 HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE 6 AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($368,541.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND 7 FEES, TO RENEW CHECK POINT FIREWALL SUPPORT AND 8 SUBSCRIPTION LICENSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it is essential to renew the City's annual Check Point firewall subscription, licensing, 11 and support contract with ProMAS,LLC to ensure continued,uninterrupted security for the City's network 12 locations and support secure connections for remote workstations;and, 13 WHEREAS,additional security protection for email and collaboration applications are needed; and, 14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended 15 vendor selection of ProMAS, LLC was made through TIPS-TAPS Contract No.230105; and, 16 WHEREAS, the cost of renewing the City's Check Point firewall contract for one year is Three 17 Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred and Forty-One and 00/100 Dollars ($368,541.00), plus 18 applicable taxes and fees; 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with ProMAS, 22 LLC, for a term of one (1)year in an amount not of Three Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred 23 and Forty-One and 00/100 Dollars ($368,541.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to renew Check Point 24 firewall support and subscription licenses with added email and collaboration application security 25 protection. 26 Section 2. Funds for this essential expenditure are available in the Department of Information 27 Technology Networking Account No. 103030-61330. 28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be 29 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 30 Resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 31 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution. 32 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with 33 any provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
