3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SERVPRO, CLEANING, RESTORATION &
5 CONSTRUCTION, TO PROVIDE WATER RESTORATION, CLEANING,
6 AND RENOVATION SERVICES AT FIRE STATION 19 IN AN AMOUNT
7 NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00),
8 INCLUDING APPLICABLE TAXES;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department,in coordination with the City's Purchasing Division,
11 has determined that water restoration,cleaning,and renovation services are urgently needed at Fire Station
12 19 due to identified damage to interior areas, including ceiling tiles, flooring, and other building
13 components; and,
14 WHEREAS, an onsite visual assessment conducted by David Moncrief, Building Services
15 Manager with the City of Little Rock Public Works Department and Jim Hagan, representative of
16 SERVPRO of the interior conditioned areas of Fire Station 19 confirmed the need for professional cleaning,
17 flooring replacement, and other remedial services necessary to restore the station to a safe and fully
18 functional condition; and,
19 WHEREAS,SERVPRO has submitted a quote for the required work under Scope A,with Flooring
20 Option 2(Vinyl Plank), in the amount of Forty-Five Thousand Dollars($45,000.00), plus applicable taxes,
21 not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00); and,
22 WHEREAS, SERVPRO will provide all labor,materials,and equipment necessary to complete the
23 project within an estimated 12-16 calendar days, and will coordinate the work to avoid disruption to Fire
24 Station 19 operations; and,
25 WHEREAS,the work will be performed under the cooperative purchasing agreement of the TIPS
26 Purchasing Cooperative, Contract No. 230505 MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations of Facilities
27 and Grounds), which provides pre-negotiated pricing and terms; and,
28 WHEREAS,the cost of the project will be paid from the Fire Department's operating budget,and
29 final invoicing will be based on actual labor,materials,and equipment used in accordance with the contract.
30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
31 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:

1 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with SERVPRO,
2 Cleaning, Restoration & Construction, in an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00),
3 including applicable taxes, for water restoration,cleaning,and renovation services at Fire Station 19.
4 Section 2. The contract shall be executed under the TIPS Purchasing Cooperative Contract No.
5 230505 MRO, and all work shall be performed in accordance with the terms and scope therein.
6 Section 3. Funding for this project shall be paid from the Fire Department's operating budget.
7 Section 4.This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
8 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
9 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
10 Resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
11 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
12 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
13 provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
