3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A ONE (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE TREE
5 MARSHALL, AS PRIMARY CONTRACTOR, AND LOOKS GREAT
6 SERVICES OF MS, INC, AS SECONDARY CONTRACTOR, IN AN
7 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND AND
8 00/100 DOLLARS ($250,000.00), FOR TREE REMOVAL AND TREE
9 TRIMMING SERVICES ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS WITHIN THE CITY
10 OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,tree removal and trimming are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, (the
13 "City")to maintain public rights-of-way along City streets; and,
14 WHEREAS,the City held a Public Bid No.2687 to obtain competitive bids from qualified vendors
15 to provide contractor assistance to the Public Works Department with tree removal and tree trimming; and,
16 WHEREAS, The Tree Marshall submitted the lowest qualified bid meeting specifications, and
17 Looks Great Services of MS, Inc. submitted the second lowest qualified bid meeting specification; and,
18 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 16,514(December 3, 2024)was approved by the Board of Directors
19 to authorize an agreement for one(1)-year with the option of two(2)additional one(1)-year terms; and,
20 WHEREAS,the City wishes to exercise its option to extend the agreement for the first of two(2)
21 additional one(1)-year terms with The Tree Marshall, as primary contractor, and Looks Great Services of
22 MS, Inc, as secondary contractor, for tree removal and trimming within the City of Little Rock.
23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
24 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend an agreement with The Tree Marshall,
26 as primary contractor, and Looks Great Service of MS, Inc., as secondary contractor, in an amount not to
27 exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($250,000.00), for the tree removal and tree
28 trimming within the City of Little Rock.
29 Section 2. Funds for the Tree Trimming and Tree Removal services are available in the operating
30 budgets of City Departments desiring the use of these services.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
32 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
5 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
