3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF LITTE ROCK TO
4 UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID HIGH PRIORITY PROJECT FUNDS FOR REPAYMENT OF THE
5 LEASE TO THE TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
6 EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Trust for Public Land, a charitable nonprofit corporation whose primary
9 purposes include the acquisition and preservation of open space for public benefit, assisted the City
10 of Little Rock with the purchase of Union Pacific Railroad property for the Arkansas River Trail; and
11 WHEREAS, federal funds totaling One Hundred Thirty -six Thousand Dollars ($136,000.00) are
12 available to assist in the final payment of this debt to the Trust for Public Land;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
14 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
16 appropriate agreements and other documents necessary to obtain the federal -aid high priority project
17 funds which will be utilized for repayment of the lease to the Trust for Public Land.
18 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
19 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
20 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain

in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
