However, a few things that you should keep in mind when making a selection is the mature height, spread, and growth pattern. In addition the tree should be kept limbed -up to a height of eight (8) feet above any pavement to allow for pedestrian and vehicular movement as well as visibility. One possibility could be a Treeform Foster Holly. This is a smaller evergreen tree that is easily maintained and would not reach a height that would interfere with any overhead utilities. Another option may be a columnar maple. These are narrow deciduous trees and the limb structure grows close to the trunk which would eliminate pedestrian or vehicular interference. Please keep in mind whatever your selection is these trees must be 3" in caliper at installation. The plan that you submit should be a scaled drawing, I would suggest a scale of 1"=20' or 1"=30'. This can be hand sketched and hard copies will need to be delivered to my office. Included on this plan you should note the size and location of the trees to be removed, a graphic representation of the proposed trees, height, spread, and caliper of the proposed trees, a note of how these are to be watered, and the name of the project, scale of the drawing and north arrow. This should cover everything however, upon review of the plan additional information could be required.
