3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDSCAPE STRUCTURES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT
6 THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE AND 45/100 DOLLARS
7 ($188,763.45), INCLUDING APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR
8 PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT AND TURF
9 INSTALLATION TO THE PLAYGROUND AT RIVERFRONT PARK;
10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, after years of deferred maintenance, a playground component at Riverfront Park
13 Playground was deemed irreparable and unsafe,then removed for the safety of the playground visitors;and
14 WHEREAS, citizens have voiced a need for an accessible replacement of this highly utilized
15 playground equipment at Riverfront Park Playground;and,
16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark. Resolution ("LRR") No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025),
17 vendor selection of Landscape Structures, Inc., was made through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing
18 Agreement Nos. 010521 and 010721; and,
19 WHEREAS,the cost for replacement of this playground component through Landscape Structure,Inc.,
20 is in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eight-Eight Thousand,Seven Hundred Sixty-Three and 45/100
21 Dollars($188,763.45).
22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Landscape Structures,Inc., in
25 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eight-Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-Three and 45/100
26 Dollars($188,763.45), for replacement of a playground component at Riverfront Park Playground.
27 Section 2. Funding is available from Park Bond Funds Facilities Upgrade Account No. 332459-
28 B45D018.
29 Section 3.Severability. In the event any title,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this
30 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
31 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion
32 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4.Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,which are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
