HomeMy WebLinkAbout22662 1 ORDINANCE NO. 22,662 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN 5 AMENDMENT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC, IN AN AMOUNT 6 NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION, EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR 7 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SIX DOLLARS ($2,854,306.00), PLUS 8 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO RENEW ESSENTIAL 9 MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR PREMIERONE 10 COMPUTER-AIDED DISPATCH AND MOBILE CAD SOFTWARE 11 SYSTEM FOR ONE (1) FIVE (5)-YEAR TERM; AND FOR OTHER 12 PURPOSES. 13 14 WHEREAS, Motorola Solutions, Inc. is the sole purveyor of the PremierOne Computer-Aided 15 Dispatch and Mobile Software System for the City's Emergency Communication Department;and, 16 WHEREAS, to ensure continuity and uninterrupted maintenance and support services for the 17 PremierOne Computer-Aided Dispatch and Mobile Software System, it is necessary for the City to waive 18 the competitive bidding requirement and allow the City Manager enter into an amendment with Motorola 19 Solutions, Inc., in the amount of Two Million, Eight Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand Three Hundred Six 20 Dollars($2,854,306.00),including applicable taxes and fees to renew maintenance and support services for 21 the PremierOne Computer-Aided Dispatch and Mobile Software System. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 24 Section 1. The Board of Directors fords that it is impractical and unfeasible to submit this contract to 25 a competitive bid process. 26 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an amendment of the sole-source agreement 27 with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the amount of Two Million, Eight Hundred Fifty-Four Thousand Three 28 Hundred Six Dollars ($2,854,306.00), including applicable taxes and fees to extend maintenance and 29 support services for the PremierOne Computer-Aided Dispatch and Mobile Software System for one (1) 30 five(5)year term. 31 Section 3.Funding for this expenditure is available in the 911 Wireless Fund Account No.220512. 32 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or [Page 1 of 21 1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 Section 5.Repealer.
