HomeMy WebLinkAbout16822 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,822 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK.,RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,677 (MAY 6, 2025) TO ADD FOUR (4) MORE ENTITIES TO THOSE 5 AUTHORIZED TO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 6 ARKANSAS, WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDS AS PART OF A 7 COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,cooperative purchasing contracts are beneficial in that they provide access to pre- 11 negotiated contracts for goods and services and help secure better terms, reduce costs, and streamline the 12 procurement process by eliminating the need for the City to engage in competitive bidding;and 13 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock ("City") has a need to enter into certain additional cooperative 14 purchasing contracts;and, 15 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock Board of Directors approved City of Little Rock,Ark.Resolution 16 No. 16,603 (February 18,2025)that authorized the City Manager to enter into contracts with thirteen(13) 17 cooperatives;and, 18 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock Board of Directors approved City of Little Rock,Ark.Resolution 19 No. 16,677 (May 6, 2025)that amended City of Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 20 2025) to add four (4) additional cooperative contracts to the list of approved cooperative purchasing 21 contracts;and, 22 WHEREAS,City staff has identified four(4)additional cooperative contracts that should be added to 23 the list of approved cooperative purchasing contracts;and, 24 WHEREAS,these cooperative purchasing contracts will allow the City to procure commodities and 25 services through and vendor contracts that the cooperative purchasing contracts may enter into;and, 26 WHEREAS,these cooperative purchasing contracts shall be made available to the City and staff will 27 generally be able to utilize and leverage the cooperative contracts by issuing a purchase order directly to 28 the vendor; and, 29 WHEREAS,the City wishes to enter into these cooperative purchasing contracts in a form and format 30 approved by the City Attorney. 31 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 32 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: [Page 1 of 21 1 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into each of the following cooperative purchasing 2 contracts in a form and format approved by the City Attorney: 3 a. Alliance for Innovation 4 b. TxShare 5 c. CoreTrust 6 d. GovMVMT 7 Section 2. Any limitation on any of these cooperative purchasing contracts shall be imposed by the 8 City' s Chief Financial Officer or his designee. 9 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 10 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication 11 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 12 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 13 Section 4. Repealer.
