3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH FORVIS MAZARS, LLP, TO PROVIDE
5 CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO THE CITY OF
6 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE PERIODS ENDING 2025-2029;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ("City"), is required to conduct an Independent
10 Financial Audit each year of its various funds and pension plans, and in doing so,to comply with various
11 City Ordinances and Arkansas State and Federal Laws and Regulations;and,
12 WHEREAS,after a competitive process, it was determined that the firm of Forvis Mazars, LLP, was
13 the most qualified firm to provide these services to the City.
14 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. Pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code ("LRC") § 2-243 (1988), the City Manager is
17 hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Forvis Mazars, LLP, to provide Certified Public
18 Accounting Services to the City of Little Rock for the fiscal years ending 2025 with a negotiated fee of up
19 to Two Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand,Two Hundred Dollars($279,200.00).
20 Section 2. Upon satisfactory completion of the City's 2025 Audit, the City Manager is authorized to
21 renew this contract annually for the years 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 to provide Certified Public
22 Accounting Services for the City.
23 Section 2. Upon satisfactory completion of the City's 2029 Audit,the Board of Directors may exercise
24 an option to extend the audit agreement for two(2)additional Fiscal Years, 20230 and 2031.
25 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
26 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication
27 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
28 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of the is resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
