3 A RESOLUTION TO REQUIRE THAT THE 2025 AUDIT BE
4 PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
5 ARKANSAS, FINANCIAL REPORTING GUIDELINES, GUIDELINES,
6 AND FORMAT PRESCRIBED BY THE GOVERNMENTAL
7 ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD, THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF
8 CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, AND THE UNITED STATES
9 GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY OFFICE; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, Ark. Code Ann. § 14-58-101 (West Supp. 2015) sets minimum standards for annual
13 audits,and further provides that municipalities may,by annual resolution, exceed the minimum standards;
14 and,
15 WHEREAS,the City desires to maintain the highest standards of financial reporting,and to pass such
16 a resolution.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The 2025 financial audit shall be performed in accordance with the guidelines and format
20 prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, the American Institute of Certified Public
21 Accountants,and the United States Government Accountability Office as authorized by Ark. Code Ann. §
22 14-58-101 (West Supp. 2015);and,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, Financial Reporting Guidelines.
23 Section 2.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
24 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication
25 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
26 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,bylaws,or parts of the same that are inconsistent
28 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
