APPROVAL OF MINUTES III. CASE M-6, AN APPLICATION BY RICHARD BUTLER FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE RENOVATION OF 407 E. 10TH AND THE DEMOLITION OF 409 E. 10TH. IV. NEW BUSINESS V. OLD BUSINESS VI. ADJOURNMENT STAFF COMMENT ON CASE M-6, 407 $ 409 E. 10TH The Commission considered a previous application for 407 E. loth at its May, 1985 meeting. While the Commission gave conceptional approval to Mr. Butler's plans, it withheld final approval because Qf—lack of specific detai-Is on the drawin-gs submitted. Because of the period of time which has elapsed, the changes to the 407 design and the formal inclusion of the 409 demolition, staff required that an entirely new application be submitted. RA/se Robert Atkinson 3/25/86 Page 2 in the house, Mr. Hussman evidently was just beginning his career as a teller at the Exchange National Bank. In other words, although the placement of the house so close to its neighbor at 407 E. 10th St. now seems peculiar and even undesirable, the house probably was considered perfectly adequate when it was built. It was occupied by respectable working people, as was 407 E. 10th St. In summary, the QQA Board of Directors wishes to endorse Mr. Butler's proposal with the reservations outlined above. Sincerely, 6'ef( Cheryl Griffith Nichols Executive Director Enclosure
