Therapeutic Community
The Gardens is a Theraputic Community in
Arkansas providing support and services for 16
beds with locations in Texarkana and Sherwood.
Therapeutic communities have an orientation
focusing on the whole person and overall lifestyle
changes. Services address the broad range of
needs identified by the person served. In addition
to daily seminars, group counseling, and individual
activities, the people served are assigned
responsibilities within the therapeutic community
setting. The people and staff members act as
facilitators, emphasizing personal responsibility for
one's own life and self-improvement. The service
emphasizes the integration of an individual within
his or her community.
Our community includes private or semi-private
residential suites allowing the perfect blend of
independence and support for those individuals
who can live on their own if they have just a little
help.
Convenience, security, and affordability, coupled
with a wide variety of activities and support
services, are the advantages to living at The

We provide for adults (21+)
diagnosed with a serious mental
illness and/or an intellectual disorder.
We primarily see adults diagnosed
with:
•Schizophrenia
•Bipolar Disorder
•Schizoaffective Disorder
Applicants must be approved by our
Admission Team. Applicants must:
•Provide income and asset verification to
qualify for coverage and housing.
•Be assessed and tiered by one of the
Arkansas PASSEs
•Prior Authoraztion approval required for
this service.
Admission Team will need the
following:
•Psychiatric evaluation
•Medication List
•Progress notes
•Labs
•Copy of Court Order
•Copy of Guardianship
•Copy of history & physical
•Release of Information sheet
