3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BORN TO BUILD,LLC IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS
6 ($57,600.00) ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITION OF UNSAFE
7 COMMERCIAL BUILDING LOCATED AT 1224 SOUTH BINGO
8 STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Planning Department enforces property maintenance codes on unsafe commercial
11 buildings;and,
12 WHEREAS, Born to Build LLC has submitted bids in response to the City of Little Rock Bid
13 Contract No.2665 for Fifty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars($57,600.00)in reference to the building
14 located at 1224 South Ringo Street.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
16 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
18 Born to Build,LLC for the asbestos abatement,demolition,and debris removal for the Planning Department
19 at a cost of Fifty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($57,600.00) in an amount not to exceed Fifty-
20 Seven Thousand Six Hundred Dollars($57,600.00).
21 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in City of Little Rock, Demolitions Account No.
22 Activity# S33C639,Unit# 108339,Activity#63390.
23 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
