DEMOLITION PLANS. CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT EXISTING DECKING
AND ROOF JOISTS AND REPLACE ANY DAMAGED OR DEFICIENT
PORTIONS WITH IDENTICAL MATERIAL OR AS DIRECTED BY
ARCHITECT.
2. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL SINGLE LAYER OF 1/2" EXTERIOR
SHEATHING OVER EXISTING ROOF DECKING TO REMAIN AND
55GURE WITH SD NAILS @ 4" O.G. AT PERIMETER AND 8" O.G. IN
FIELD. PROVIDE 3/5" GALVANIZED SPACERS AT ALL SHEATHING
JOINTS.
3. LOW SHED ROOF JOISTS TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED
WHERE REQUIRED WITH IDENTICAL MATERIAL.
4. LOW ROOF MAIN STRUCTURE: WHERE WOOD TRUSSES STOP AND
DIMENSIONAL LUMBER BEGINS, CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE AND
REPLACE JOISTS WITH 1.5" X 9.25" LVL JOISTS OF SUFFICIENT
LENGTH TO FIT WITHIN EXISTING MASONRY BEAM POCKETS. SHIM
AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN EXISTING ROOF SLOPE.
5. NEW ROOF TO BE MIN. 4" RIGID 150 INSULATION AND MIN. 60 MIL
TPO ROOF MEMBRANE. DESIGN BASIS IS CARL15LE TPO
MECHANICALLY FASTENED AND FULLY ADHERED. CONTRACTOR TO
PROVIDE ALL FLASHING, COUNTERFLA5HIN0, SEALANTS AND
ACGE55ORIES AS REQUIRED BY ROOFING MANUFACTURER TO
PROVIDE A WEATHER TIGHT AND WARRANTED INSTALLATION.
WHERE DISCREPANCIES ARISE NOTIFY ARCHITECT PRIOR TO
PROGEEDING WITH THE WORK.
6. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE LOCATION OF ALL ROOF
PENETRATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT PRIOR TO ROOFING
INSTALLATION. NOTIFY ARCHITECT OF ANY DESCREPANGIES.
7. ALL VENT 5TA61<5 AND F-XHAUS75 TO BE LOCATED MIN. 6' AWAY
FROM WINDOW OPENINGS. NO VENT 5TAGK5 OR EXHAUSTS TO BE
LOCATED BENEATH WINDOW OPENINGS UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES. WHERE CONFLICTS ARISE NOTIFY ARCHITECT
PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
8. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE MIN. 12'-0" X 12-0" SECONDARY 60
MIL TPO LAYER WHERE DIRECTED BY OWNER AND WHERE
REQUIRED FOR EQUIPMENT PAD AT LOW ROOF.
9. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE MIN. 20 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S
WARRANTY TO COMMENCE FROM DATE OF 5UB5TAN7IAL
