HomeMy WebLinkAbout12436I 2 RESOLUTION NO. 12,436 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CENTER FOR 5 HEALING AND HOPE TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY BASED 6 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 10 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety 11 and community- building, and 12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 6287 to solicit proposals for 13 Community -Based Domestic Violence Programs and Services for Little Rock residents, 14 and 15 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on 16 December 15, 2006, determined the Center for Healing and Hope to be the lowest 17 responsible and responsive bidder, and recommends this organization for a contract 18 award. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with this 22 organization provide Community Based Domestic Violence Programs and services. 23 Section 3. Funds for this program is from FUTURE - Little Rock tax revenue 24 specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account number 25 SOOT458. [PAGE 1 OF 2] Resolution To Authorize Contracts to Provide Summer Recreation Programs I Section 4. The term of the contract is from January 17, 2007 to December 31, 2 2007. 3 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 4 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 5 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 7 originally a part of this resolution. 8 Section 6. Repealer.
