HomeMy WebLinkAbout124321 RESOLUTION NO. 12,432 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN 4 ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH CASCO TO PROVIDE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING FOR 5 THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, certain protective clothing is required in order to provide the best 8 protection possible for the uniformed personnel of the Fire Department while fighting fires 9 and performing rescues, and 10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C06029, CASCO submitted the most responsible and 11 responsive bid for an annual contract to provide turnout coats and pants for the uniformed 12 Fire Department personnel, said bid being for an amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars 13 ($50,000.00) for the term of the contract, and 14 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be six (6) months and may be extended 15 for an additional six (6) months; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF 17 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into 19 an annual contract with CASCO to provide turnout coats and pants for all uniformed personnel 20 of the Little Rock Fire Department, for an amount not to exceed ($50,000.00) for the term of 21 the contract. 22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the general budget with 23 supplemental funds from special projects as they become available. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of 27 the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or 28 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are 30 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such 31 inconsistency.
