SUBJECT: Permit for 514 East 9th Street
This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission (LRHDC) allowing Robert Kennedy, as property owner of 514 East 9th
Street permission to obtain a building permit; the subject property is located within the
MacArthur Park Historic District. I understand that the permit is for rehabilitation of the
interior (plumbing, etc.) and for routine maintenance of the exterior (roofing, etc.), which
is allowed within the local ordinance historic district without a Certificate of
Appropriateness (COA); as such, and meeting all pertinent city regulations, the
application for a building permit should be approved. If exterior changes or
improvements are made that require a COA (see the Design Review Guidelines:
MacArthur Park Historic District), the property owner will notify the LRHDC and
appropriate actions will be taken for a public hearing.
