Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately. 3. Land disturbance plan is acceptable. 4. The minimum landscape code requirements for the City of Little Rock follows. Industrial sites adjacent to other industrial sites are not required to provide perimeter planting strips outside of the front yard setback. • A perimeter planting strip is required along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining property. This strip shall be at least nine (9) feet wide. Provide trees with an average linear spacing of not less than thirty (30) feet and three (3) shrubs or vines for every thirty (30) linear feet within the fifty (50) foot front yard setback. Screening requirements will need to be met for any vehicular use areas adjacent to the street right of way or any adjacent properties of a more restrictive use. Screening requirements will need to be met for the parking areas adjacent to the Zeuber and Fletcher Road right-of-way. Provide screening shrubs with an average linear spacing of not less than three (3) feet on center within the required landscape area. Employee parking or parking used by the general public must meet interior landscape requirements. Eight percent (8%) of the vehicular use area must be designated for green space; this green space needs to be evenly distributed throughout the parking area(s). For developments with more than one hundred fifty (150) parking spaces the minimum size of an interior landscape area shall be three hundred (300) square feet. Interior islands must be a minimum of seven and one half (7 1/2) feet in width. Trees shall be included in the interior landscape areas at the rate of one (1) tree for every twelve (12) parking spaces. • Industrial yards and compounds used for storing materials, manufactured products, equipment, truck loading and unloading are excluded from interior landscape requirements. For any site, trees from two (2) different genuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent of the trees on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen variety. Developments with one hundred fifty (150) or more parking spaces shall have Single - trunk trees with a minimum caliper of three (3) inches measured twelve (12) inches above grade at planting to satisfy fifty (50) percent of the requirement. The remaining minimum caliper requirement may be reduced to two (2) inches measured twelve (12) inches above grade at planting. Multitrunk trees shall have three (3) trunks or canes with a minimum caliper of one and one-half (1%2) inches measured twelve (12) inches above grade at planting to satisfy fifty (50) percent of the requirement. The remaining caliper requirement may have three (3) trunks or canes with a minimum caliper of one (1) inch measured twelve (12) inches above grade at planting. ■ Note the species and size specifications of the proposed trees on the plan. • For any site, shrubs from two (2) different genuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent of the shrubs on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen variety. ■ Shrubs must be a minimum of 18" in height at installation. Note the species and size specifications of the proposed shrub materials on the plan. o An irrigation system shall be required for developments of one (1) acre or larger. Note on the landscape plan "An automatic irrigation system shall be provided for all new landscape areas and provide 100% full coverage." • All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-100). Wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be required between vehicular use areas and any turf or planting area. ■ The development of two (2) acres or more requires the landscape plan to be stamped with the seal of a Registered Landscape Architect. 5. All ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting properties and streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a primary street side of the property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen shall exceed the height of the dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2) feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total height. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger.
