Any new site development must comply with the City's minimal landscape and buffer
ordinance requirements. All site development must be reviewed and approved by the
Capitol Zoning District Commission. As per the conditions of the Capital Zoning
District Commissions Certificate of Appropriateness all state and city codes shall be
followed at all times.
A copy of the Certificate of Appropriateness must be returned to the Plans
Development Administrator ds illmaa littlerock.gov ) before the building
permit can be released.
2. Screening requirements will need to be met for any vehicular use areas adjacent to the
street right of way or any adjacent properties of a more restrictive use. Provide
screening shrubs with an average linear spacing of not less than three (3) feet on
center and trees with an average linear spacing of thirty (30) feet on center within the
required landscape area.
Provide shrubs between the on -site parking and the Capitol Ave right-of-way.
3. Prior to releasing for building permit a franchise agreement must be obtained from
Little Rock Public Works to place landscape and/or irrigation materials in the public
right-of-way.

Administrator,
4. Any existing landscape areas and mature vegetation to remain shall be protected as
per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-100). Any trees or vegetation
located in close proximity to construction shall have the area within the dripline
fenced and protected from development activities. Any existing landscape or
irrigation disturbed by construction shall be repaired or replaced before completion
and final acceptance of the project.
All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance
(Sec. 15-100). Mulch, edging, wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be
required.
6. All ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting
properties and streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a
primary street side of the property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen
shall exceed the height of the dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2)
feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total height.
7. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as
feasible on this site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can
be given when preserving trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger.
