1. Site plan must comply with the City's minimal landscape and buffer ordinance requirements.
2. Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately.
3. A landscape plan was not submitted. Permit cannot be released until landscape requirements
are met. Additional and complete review will be made upon the receiving landscape plan
specifying the proposed plant materials, sizes, and the proposed planting areas a method of
irrigation.
4. A small amount of building landscape will be required. Building landscape areas shall be
provided between the vehicular use area used for public parking and the general vicinity of the
building. These landscape areas shall be provided at the rate equivalent to planter strip three (3)
feet wide along the vehicular use area. One (1) tree and four (4) shrubs shall be planted in the
building landscape areas for each forty (40) linear feet of vehicular use area abutting the
building.
5. A perimeter planting strip is required along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining
property. This strip shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet in width. Provide trees with an average
linear spacing of not less than thirty (30) feet within the perimeter planting strip. Provide three
(3) shrubs or vines for every thirty (30) linear feet of perimeter planting strip.
Trees and shrubs will be required at the above mentioned rate on the north, east and west of
the new parking area.
6. Interior landscape areas shall comprise at least eight (8) percent of any vehicular use area
containing twelve (12) or more parking spaces. Trees shall be included in the interior landscape
areas at the rate of one (1) tree for every twelve (12) parking spaces.
7. An irrigation system shall be required for developments of one (1) acre or larger.
8. The development of two (2) acres or more requires the landscape plan to be stamped with the
seal of a Registered Landscape Architect.
9. All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-
100). Mulch, edging, wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be required.
10. All ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting properties and
streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a primary street side of the
property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen shall exceed the height of the
dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2) feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total
height.
11. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this
site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving
trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger.

1. Industrial sites adjacent to other industrial sites are not required to provide perimeter planting
strips outside of the front yard setback.
• There is approximately 260 linear feet of vehicular use area adjacent to the north
property line a minimum of nine (9) trees and twenty-six shrubs will be required.
The front yard setback is fifty (50) feet in areas zoned 1-2. The east and west perimeters
will each require a minimum of two (2) trees and five (5) shrubs.
2. Building landscape shall be provided at a minimum rate of one (1) tree and four (4) shrubs for
every forty (40) linear feet of facade adjacent to the area used for public parking. There is
approximately one hundred and ninety-five (195) linear feet of building adjacent to the public
parking area. An additional five (5) trees will be required in close proximity to the building to
meet the minimum requirements.
3. For any site, trees from two (2) different genuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent
of the trees on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen
variety.
